

Robert "Bob" Lee Willett, age 81, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. He was born October 19, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Jones Willett and the late Marie (nee: Hauck) Willett.Bob was employed with the General Motors Corporation where he worked in the shop as a Crib Attendant. He was a hard worker who extended the utmost in dedicated service until his retirement. When he wasn't working, his favorite pastimes were wrapped up in the excitement that his two sporting teams provided,...the revered Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings. With the staggered seasons between the two venues, Bob was never at a loss for his favorite source of entertainment. There was no greater fan of both his Boys of Summer and his Boys in the Winged Wheel than Bob,...and they did him proud.But without question, his greatest passion was spending time with the family at the various gatherings and events,...especially when his many nieces and nephews were present. Never having children of his own, they were held in the highest regard and considered as precious as if they were his own. The joy they provided was immeasurable and his heart was always lifted when they were together. He was a devoted uncle who will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Bob was the devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation for Bob will be held on Tuesday, April 8th from 3-9pm, with a 6:30pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren. He will lie in state on Wednesday from 9:30am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Anne Catholic Church in Warren.
